5-Word 365 #281 – Zombies Zombies Zombies
Well folks, we’re now past the forty weeks mark. Hands up who thought I’d never make it this far? Yep, me too.
Well folks, we’re now past the forty weeks mark. Hands up who thought I’d never make it this far? Yep, me too.
Gonna be brief again today. I’m quite heavily medicated and still not at my best.
I’ve decided, purely on a whim, that the next seven days here at 5-Word will be Sports Movie Week. For the first time since I started back in January I actually have the entire week’s schedule planned out in advance. Whether I can stick to that or not is a whole other ballgame.
Back to Scandinavia for this week’s WTF Sunday flick. For the title alone, this is not to be missed.
While searching for a movie for this week’s edition of WTF Sunday, I came across this gem (pardon the pun) in Lovefilm’s “Something Saucy” selection. The description made me laugh out loud for a solid three minutes. Could the rest of the flick live up to that promise?
I imagine I’m a little late to the party with this one. Oh well, I guess it’s a novelty to do a WTF Sunday review that most of you will have heard of.
Today’s flick has been compared favourably to such masterworks as Pan’s Labyrinth and A Tale of Two Sisters, and while I haven’t seen the former yet (I know! I’ll get to it soon, I swear), I can certainly vouch for the latter.
After a couple of weeks in the West it is time to head back east for a proper taste of the wacky; this time, South Korea. Ah, South Korea. You guys are awesome.
We’re back to subtitles for this week’s weirdness. Not Asia though; join me as I journey to the beautiful city of Moscow and watch a flick about a flying car.
I’ve noticed that most of my Sunday films seem to be foreign, particularly Asian, so I thought I might stick with Hollywood for a change. See if they can keep up with the good stuff coming from the East.
