I imagine I’m a little late to the party with this one. Oh well, I guess it’s a novelty to do a WTF Sunday review that most of you will have heard of.
Once again I’m going for the Jimmy Buffett defence regarding the timing of this post. That’s right; it’s still Friday somewhere. I swear, come January 1st I’m going to sleep for a week.
There have been quite a few films in recent years that sneak themselves in as one genre when they are actually best described as something else. When done successfully, they end up going beyond the notion of established genre and stand on their own as a whole new thing. Today I bring you a sweet love story, hiding inside a road movie, all bundled up as an alien invasion flick. Something for everybody?
We’re back to subtitles for this week’s weirdness. Not Asia though; join me as I journey to the beautiful city of Moscow and watch a flick about a flying car.
Remember The Philadelphia Experiment? That flick where the two US Navy sailors from WW2 got thrown into the eighties? Well this is the flip-side of that story, only with less soppy romantic subplots and more fighter planes.
Well, our next milestone is fast approaching. In just two more short days, I’ll be hitting number 200 of the year. After that it will only be 166 more until I can have a day off!
I spent this entire movie giggling like an idiot, and I still haven’t stopped.
I was sitting around thinking of something to do today, and I thought, since it’s the weekend and all that jazz, that maybe I should watch a movie. Radical, aren’t I?
